LOCATION
La Voliera is the right compromise for who wishes to save what you would spend at the historical center but wants this easy to get staying in a quarter near and optimally connected. We are far a few minutes walking from Trastevere Train Station and the Air Terminal for Fiumicino Airport, just 20 minutes from the historical center, and no more than a stone's thrown from Roma Tre University, La Voliera holiday apartment is located in a beautiful residential district that can boast a supermarket opens until the 22 in the evening, a host of excellent restaurants and the famous Roman Sunday market at Porta Portese. From the station can easy be caught up. S.Peter, the historical center (it's sufficient one connection!) and the airport of Fiumicino.
HISTORY...
The way Portuense can be the mother of the roads of Rome, and it was constructed to the end of the I century D.C., in order to connect the city to the harbor of Fiumicino.
It is in XV Town hall called Arvalia-Portuense in memory of the ancient sacerdotal college of the Frates Arvales instituted by Romolo, the founder of Rome.
LA VOLIERA’S DESCRIPTION
La Voliera is composed of three bedrooms, either with a double bed or two single beds; a triple room accommodation is possible adding another single bed. Is also possible a single accommodation in a double room. All of our room are bright and silent, with private bathroom, wireless internet connection, tv and air conditioning. All the rooms, exept one have access to the fabulous balcony in the photo gallery. Upon request, we offer also the garage service.
We privilege the “maximal independence” hospitality: our guests will have the keys of their apartments, so that you will not have any time-table restrictions or being forced pass thru a reception every time you get in or out; our breakfast is not included in the price but is on request contacting us before your arrival; it 's self service: at the moment of arrival you will have every thing you need for your stay here (biscuits, corn-flakes, butter, jam, fruit juice, milk, tea, coffee) and, again, no time-table restrictions. The supplement for the breakfast is 4,00 for person per day.
IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS
-It's essential you communicate to us the time of your check-in at least two days of your arrival; otherwise you could not meet anybody opening the door because we are not always at home.
The check in is between 13-21. We request a supplement of 20,00 euros for the arrival in extra-time until 01.00 am.
We don't accept arrivals after 1.00 am.
-Check-out before 10:00 am.
-If you need the place for you car you have to fix two days before your arrival because the place are only two.

HOW TO GET TO LA VOLIERA BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
1. From Termini station.
a)Catch the train for Trastevere station. From here catch 780 bus and go to the intersection of Via Oderisi Da Gubbio and Via Grimaldi. La Voliera is five minutes walking: from the bus stop go straight to (the same direction of the bus) and turn right at the first street (is a descent), Via Di San Pantaleo; at the end of the street there is Via Portuense; here turn left and pass under the two bridges (the one for cars and the old one for trains). Then the first street on the left (there is Blockbuster on the corner) is Via Giuseppe Belluzzo. Go up to number 27. call on the intercom and wait for our answer even if the gate is open.
From Trastevere station it is also possible to get here by walking, it takes about twenty minutes: out of the station square go down thru Via degli orti di Cesare. At the end of the street turn right passing under trastevere station’s bridge. After the bridge, before Via Volpato starts, turn right to Via Portuense: you can’t miss it because there’s the police station. Go along Via Portuense until it becomes a two lane road. Go straight and pass under the two bridges (the one for cars and the old one for trains). Then turn left onto the first street (there is Blockbuster on the corner): Via Giuseppe Belluzzo. Go up to number 27. call on the intercom and wait for our reply even if the gate is open.
b)From Termini station you can also catch the 170 bus and go down by Via Marconi before it crosses Via Grimaldi. From here you can come here by walking ten minutes long: from Via Marconi you turn at the first right, Via Grimaldi, go straight ahead, cross Via Oderisi Da Gubbio; after crossing Via Oderisi da Gubbio keep to the right and go down, Via del Pozzo Di San Pantaleo (there is a motorcycle shop at the corner: Rubei). At the end of the street turn the left for Via Portuense and pass under the two bridges (the one for cars and the old one for trains). Then the first street on the left (there is Blockbuster on the corner) is Via Giuseppe Belluzzo. Go up to number 27. Call on the intercom and wait for our reply even if the gate is open.
2. From Fiumicino airport
Take the train for Trastevere station, then follow the same instructions 1-a.
3. From Ciampino airport
Take the Pullman for Termini, then follow the same instructions 1.
4. on demand is also available the airport pick up service: 40 euros each run.
HOW TO GET TO LA VOLIERA BY CAR
a)From Firenze highway A1 exit to Roma Nord and then go to G.R.A. (grande raccordo anulare) in the Fiumicino/Civitavecchia direction. Once you are on the G.R.A. exit to Roma/Fiumicino towards Rome; from here turn towards Magliana/Trastevere and follow the direction for Piazzale della Radio; then turn left towards Via Isacco Newton and go up a ramp keeping the right. Once on Via Isacco Newton, turn towards Via Portuense/centro and once you get to Via portuense go straight on, cross Largo La Loggia and when the street descends keep to the right and turn right to Via di vigna pia (there is a direction for the restraurant “La Carovana”). Then turn immediately left to Via Ettore Palladini, go straight, and at the end of the street there is Via Belluzzo. Turn right and we are on the left, at number 27. If you have any problems feel free to call me. Please do not enter your car inside the residence before I come down, because it is a private parking and I have to show you which one is for you.
b)From Napoli exit to the G.R.A. (grande raccordo anulare) towards Fiumicino and take Roma/Fiumicino towards Roma. From here the same directions of a).
Anyway It’s important you print the map below and take this with you.
