Hotel Villa Glanum 3 star hotel in Saint Rémy de Provence


Located at the foot of Alpilles, with two steps of the historical village of St Rémy of Provence, the Villa Glanum accomodates you in the heart of its garden of Provençal scents. Name of the Roman site very close, this house drawn by Van Gogh, inhabited by Daudet, became a hotel of 25 rooms. The Country house, turned towards the Antique and Triumphal arch, merges with its garden of umbrella pines, the cypresses proudly drawn up towards the sun, and centenaries olive-trees.
Opening on the garden of olive-trees, the 25 rooms are dispersed on 2 buildings with their painted wood shutters, the Villa and the Bastide.

La Bastide rooms are all with private terrace.

The property takes today a new air with a restoration of the rooms where the provençal fabrics, Indian and boutis, married with the patinas of the walls and the beams bleached.

    The complete breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10:30am, in the garden or in the dining-room depending the weather: 8 euros
    A park of more than one hectare, dedicated to Provence receives you with its Mediterranean trees: secular umbrella pines, plane trees, cypresses, aromatic plants...

    In the heart of the garden, the swimming pool accomodates you to rest under an olive-tree. Bushes of rosemary or lavender perfume the air heated by the sun of Provence. The long chairs await you for one afternoon of relaxation. The large swimming pool (15x6m) is entirely closed and is accessible to the children accompanied by an adult. A ping-pong table waits you.

    The property is enclosed, a carpark is at your disposal, accessible apart from the opening hours from the reception with an access code.

    The restaurant:
    A Mediterranean cuisine, to be tasted on our terrace, under the plane trees and in the light of the candles; or in the dining room with its patinas and its sunny walls.
    Provencal accent is obvious, with a choice of dishes coloured by the sun : Provencal herbs, olive oil from Les Baux valley, Alpilles' goat cheese, fishes from the Mediterranean sea, lamb, vegetables and fruits from the region...all the best of Provence in your plate.

  • By air :
    The closest airports are Avignon (20mn) – Marseilles (1h) – Nimes (1h) – Montpellier (1h30) – Lyon (3h)
    The international airport of Marseilles Provence serves Paris and the majority of the large European cities. Nimes is the base of company RYANAIR.
  • By train :
    TGV train links Paris to Avignon in 2h40mn (2h50 Roissy-Avignon).
    Car rental Cies available at the Avignon TGV station (Avis, Hertz, Europcar,…).

  • Rental cars :
    The principal companies of rental cars have their offices in Avignon train station and in the airports.
  • By road :
    On the A7 motorway, to take the Cavaillon exit and to follow the direction St Remy of Provence on D99. To follow St Remy centers, then the direction of the Baux de Provence, the Villa Glanum is 2km from the center of town.
