    The Kielhuberhof is located in the south of Ramsau, in the midst of the meadows and fields of our farm. Not only the ideal altitude of 1000 m and the location at the foot of the Dachstein, Styria's highest peak - where you have a great view around the region - but also all the possibilities to do sports and enjoy leisure-time will contribute to your special holidays in Austria.

    Ramsau's climbing-path. Starting on the glacier, you'll hike and climbe across the mountain-ridge and peaks of Ramsau to the Gutenberghaus, from where you descend back down to Ramsau. More climbing paths in any level of difficulty.

  • Skiing in the ski-paradise!
    The skiing-mountains Hauser Kaibling (Haus im Ennstal), Planai (Schladming), Hochwurzen (Rohrmoos) and Reiteralm (Pichl) are all linked together by cable cars and build a ski-carrousel. Within only 5 minutes by car or by ski-bus, which also stops at the Kielhuberhof, you arrive at the cable car in Schladming, which brings you up to the Planai.
  • Dive into the pleasure of skiing
    If you want to improve your skiing skills, you are quite right in the Dachstein-Tauern Region in Austria. The ski-schools of Ramsau offer classes for everybody, beginner to advanced.
  • Ski mountaineering
    More than skiing - off slope skiing. The Dachstein-glacier is an ideal starting point for ski tours, but there are also ski routes which do not involve the glacier.
  • Nordic skiing
    Cross-country-skiing is amazing on the plateau of Ramsau. The slopes count 170 km, there are classik tracks as well as skating-slopes. Discover the beautiful winter-landscape by ski! By the way: you can access the cross country track right beside the Kielhuberhof!
  • Winter holiday does not mean skiing only
    Discover the country by foot, walking on the winter paths which are available all over the plateau or try a snow shoe hike. Romantic horse-sleigh-rides can be organised, even in the evening, with a stop at one of the numerous comfortable alpine lodges. Have fun going sledging - also in the moonlight!

    How to get there
    Ramsau am Dachstein, the plateau at the foot of the Dachstein in Austria, lays on an altitude of 1000 m to 1700 m, it is 18 km long and 4 km wide.

    Ramsau offers a wide variety to do sports and enjoy leisure time: adveturers and athletes find as many possibilities as families with kids. From the hiker to the ski mountaineerer, everybody finds his favourite waste of time in Ramsau am Dachstein.

    Arriving by car
    Motorway A 10 Tauernautobahn: leave the motorway at the exit Knoten Ennstal into the direction of Graz, follow the main road 'Ennstalbundesstraße' until Schladming where you take the exit for Ramsau
    A 9 Phyrnautobahn: leave the motorway at the exit Liezen into the direction of Salzburg, follow the Ennstalbundesstrasse until Schladming, where you take the exit for Ramsau.
    From Schladming drive up to Ramsau-Leiten and follow the signs to the Kielhuberhof or/and the Ramsau traffic guide to purple 205. (Go straight on at the first turn!)

    Arriving by train:
    Train station Schladming. On demand we will collect you there or take a taxi directly at the Schladming train station.

    Arriving by aeroplane:
    The nearest airport is in Salzburg (90 km away).
